Pharo Management colleagues, partners and skilled volunteers support our schools and programmes across East Africa. Here is how to lend your time.
Bring your skills.
Our volunteers tell us the same thing on return: it is an incredible, transformative experience. Most need only a fortnight, or even an hour a week.
Teach
Spend two weeks teaching in one of our boarding schools in Ethiopia or Somaliland: English, maths, physics, coding, or a subject of your choosing. Pharo Management colleagues do this at our cost.
Mentor
Join a student on Zoom or Teams to practise English, or coach on university applications and careers. A small commitment with an outsized effect.
Fundraise
Back a specific, tangible goal, from filling a school library to funding a borehole. Pharo Foundation matches many staff-led drives and would be open to external initiatives.
