From individual schools to a high-performing network.
In 2025 our student network grew to roughly 5,000, supported by more than 400 teachers. The year was defined by deliberate investment in quality, systems, people and culture.
In October 2025 we appointed Nkazimulo Moyo as Managing Director of Pharo Schools, an accomplished education leader who most recently led a network of 21 schools at SPARK Schools in South Africa. Since joining she has shaped the long-term vision: a coherent, high-performing network anchored in a clear pedagogical identity and an unmistakable Pharo brand.
A major milestone was the education model workshop, which produced the Pharo Graduate Profile and a clearer pedagogical spine. Combined with a new Student Information System and the Teacher Exchange Programme, this positions the network to scale with quality.
Potential is everywhere. Access to a good school is not.
In Somaliland, Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda, the schools that reliably produce results are mostly private and mostly unaffordable. Public systems are stretched thin, and the children with the most to offer are the least likely to find a classroom that can develop them.
And where good schools do exist, they rarely connect into anything larger, so quality stays local and fragile and never compounds into a system a country can rely on.
